8th grade Bearcats vs Ballinger

The Hawley Bearcats 8th grade came up short Thursday against a very good Ballinger team. The final score was Hawley 22 Ballinjger 34. Ballinger jumped out to a 14-0 lead before quarter back Tanner Thompson hit Daniel Brewer for a 45 yard touchdown pass. The two point conversion was good by Daniel Brewer. Tanner then completed two more touchdown passes both to Steve Bass for 30 yards each. Two point conversion was good on one of the attempts by Chandler Pearson. This made the score at that time 22 to 20 in favor of Hawley. Ballinger then scored two more times in the 4th quarter to win the ball game. Leading tackler for Hawley defense was Jeremy Ortega with nine tackles.
