HAWLEY VARSITY BOYS WIN ACU CROSS COUNTRY MEET
The Hawley Varsity Boys Cross Country team won the ACU Cross Country Meet on Saturday, October 8, 2005. The team had a point total of 52 edging out Poolville who had 53 points.
Brendon Bounds received a gold medal coming in first place with a time of 17:22.76. Also receiving a medal was Seth Manly, placing 8th, with a time of 19:08.35. Josh Winegeart placed 16th, time 20:01.29, and Justin Bristow placed 17th with a time of 20:02.28. The fifth runner for the team was Bobby Schaefer with a time of 20:41.78 and he placed 21st. Kevin Harp placed 30th with a time of 21:30.12. Brian Clifton placed 36th with a time of 21:44.99. D.J. Belshe placed 51st with a time of 24:16.94. Weston Bartlett placed 55th with a time of 24:43.51 and Rodney Rud placed 60th with a time of 26:00.31.
The boys will next compete at Baird at the Shady Oaks Golf Club on Tuesday, October 18, 2005.
